Did Texiera get any game time for us last season? How did he look?

Who do people think might make the breakthrough next season? Sterling, Suso, anyone else?

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Tough tough group. Current holders plus in BD probably the best young side in Europe at the moment coming off their production line. Don't know much about Rosenborg but with Raheem probably being in the first team squad next year I think we will likely stuggle.

Can't see Raheem being given too much playing time in first team, even if he's in the squad. And he's young enough to represent us in the Next Gen.

Inter got beaten 6-1 by Spurs, who we should have finished off 6-0. The real teams to avoid were Barca and Sporting (or not avoid if experience is what we are looking for).

Jordan Ibe has been training with the 1st team apparently and has been so impressive he's now coming on the US tour. He was brilliant last season for the U19s. High hopes for him.

I'd forgotten about him. My mate used to watch him train at Wycombe and said he was going to be a top, top player.

Do we know if Stirling and/or Suso will be going on the tour?

Texeira made his debut today as well. Seems we have some pretty exciting talent coming through at last!

Also, I wonder if there's maybe a future for Pacheco - the forgotten man! Who knows - he looked like he had the talent to go all the way. Seem to remember reading his attitude was his biggest problem. Maybe Rodgers can sort him out!

Pacheco is a weird one. Only 21 so you'd think he could still break through, although his loan back to Spain last year really wasn't very successful. Bizarre enough that we loaned him to A.Madrid who straight off loaned him on to Rayo Vallecano who then only played him 11 times (0 goals), but also it looks like there was an option for Madrid to buy him which they haven't exercised.

It was also confirmed that Atlético had an option to buy Pacheco at the end of the season.[12]

                            Rayo Vallecano loan (2011–2012)

Pacheco joined Vallecano on loan from Atlético whilst still being owned by Liverpool. Pacheco made his debut for Rayo Vallecano as 84th minute substitute in the 0–1 win against Getafe on 18 September 2011.
Starting to really doubt whether he will ever realise the potential he had when we signed him at 16.

                              Teixeira makes LFC debut

Portugese starlet Joao Carlos Teixeira made his first appearance in a red shirt when he appeared during the U18s' friendly 8-1 win over Exeter on Saturday morning.

The midfield playmaker, who arrived at the Academy from Sporting Lisbon, enjoyed a 25 minute run-out in the second half.

The Portugese youth international didn't feature for the Academy last term because of a niggling back problem, but now fully fit, he is set to be a regular in Kirkby this season.

A youthful Exeter side had travelled up on the morning of the match and several regulars from the reserve team squad were on duty for the Reds including Michael Ngoo and Toni Silva, who spent the final part of last term on loan at Northampton Town.

Jerome Sinclair netted a hat-trick, while Silva, Sam Gainford, Kristoffer Peterson, Marc Pelosi and Danny Smith were also on target.
