    Fowler

He was crap last night. Maybe he would be better with a run in the side in order to get match fit, but that would only happen if we had 2 strikeres injured so not something we can really hope for.

    Its a shame

It was really sad to watch last night.

I love Fowler and he'll always be a legend for this football club, but he's not up to it, especially away from home.

He did look very poor last night but he was in a very inexperienced team and was partnered by Bellamy who looked even worse than Robbie. He has looked sharp in recent games and I think we could still find a use for him but I can't see him keeping Dirk or Crouch out of the side any time soon

Fowler kept trying to create something with clever flicks etc. when the simple option would have done - must be watching Lil' Luis in training or something.

One poor showing doesn't mean he's lost it though, he just had a poor game, as did Bellamy it must be said - I know they both lack games under their belt, but both strikers were way off form last night.

I havnt really been impressed with Robbies timing since he came back, I see people say he is the best finisher we have, I dont agree, we all know how good he was, but he is not at that level any more, Crouch and Kuyt are better finishers. I honestly cant see him getting his contract extended beyond this current season, which is sad to see.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

No chance he will get a new contract purely on the basis of his playing, he may get a player coach deal though. Not sure how good or qualified he is as a coach though.

No reason to write him off as a squad player just because he had a bad game. He was good against Reading. However it is clear that the end is nearing for him. I hope he gets a few more games in the cup so he can add a bit of a last hurrah to his Liverpool career.

Clearly hes not the player he was, but we all knew that before he came, what did we expect?
At best, he's back up yet can easily come off the bench if we're in need of a goal. There is absolutely no-one else at the club currently that i would prefer on the pitch when we need a goal to rescue the game.

He is still far and away the best finisher at the club, its a complete no-brainer, theres no-one to touch him in finishing terms regardless of his fitness levels or that his best days are behind him.

****, you talk some ****e, really sad to watch?
Wise the **** up, he never really got into the game but was feeding off scraps in truth, still played some lovely balls through to Gonzalez on the left.

I dont see it like that at all mate, I keep seeing him completely mistiming efforts infornt of goal, opportunities that the Robbie of old would have stuck away no bother, IMHO fowler has lost some pace and it has effected his allround game. Inculding his finishing.

He should just get a steady run of games. Judge him after that.

I don't follow this about him being far and away the best finisher - it's not reflected in his play this season. He was poor against Sheffield United, terrible against Everton and invisible last night. It was half an hour before I realised he was on the pitch.

His best days are 7-8 years ago. He's a busted flush now
