    Rose tinted its bloody bleak!

First competitive game away from home this season and we have a win with the second leg in Anfield with Reina , Agger , Carroll and Suarez to come back into the team and maybe a couple of new signings before next week
I thought he tried hard, but he clearly isn't ready for this type of game yet.

I thought we needed 3 or 4 signings this summer, especially with losing Maxi & Kuyt and it sounds like we still really do need a few new signings then

It is a rose tinted view of the past.
The future is only bleak if we don't learn from last seasons disaster.

            Rodgers 1-0-0
            Downing top goal scorer!

Sterling showed glimpses of both ability and naivety tonight I thought, he didn't pull out of any challenges which was nice to see.

We definitely need at least three or four goalscoring forwards. Especially if Carroll and Bellamy follow Kuyt and Maxi out of the door.

We'll improve I'm sure of that.

Think of the positives, Lucas is back. Suarez, Reina, Bellamy will be back soon. Allen's looking like a strong possibility and there is still plenty of time for us to make signings before the start of the season and then we can start moving forward as a team.

Sterling is only 17, I thought he played well and this experience can only help his development. I would have liked to see Pacheco play tonight aswell

When money started ruining the game, it didn't affect the fans overnight, this has been a steady decline over a couple of decades, and now the fans are synical, far more so than ever before.

                            Interesting.

Ngog really seemed to kick on under Hodgson. I thought the lad was going to hit twenty goals in all comps that season.

Game #4 of our pre-season and it just so happens to be a qualifier.

I don't know what people expected from this today? It's match fitness, a clean sheet, a lead in a two-legged tie and more players are getting used to Rodgers' ideas.
