I'd rather have Dempsey in our current side & setup than Carroll any day. I actually think he'll do very well. And that's not even to mention the disparity in cost & wages between the two.

How much did Carroll score at Newcastle? Doesn't show anything. I think Carroll scored around 12 goals in 20 appearances while Dempsey has had 23 in 42. Around the same to me.

We dominated the 2nd half without really going into top gear. But for their lucky goal it was comfortable.

With a 1-0 lead from the first leg, I don't think you can ever be comfortable at 0-0 no matter how much you dominate, anything can happen as we saw tonight, had we not got the goal back when we did it could have been ET and pens, no matter how we played.

He suits our style of play better I agree, but we should be doing better. Hope we won't overpay for him. £3/5m most for him would be OK.
