I've been following it online but a lot of people are saying they cant comment and fans shouldn't comment because they are being watched

does anybody know what is meant by this?

Me, me, me. You can see there's not an ounce of regret or thought for anyone else.

Hillsborough Inquests: Duckenfield: I did not make my admissions for 26 years also because I did not trust the press not to misrepresent me.

He's doing the same today as he did back then, manipulating events into what suits him best given his situation, and damn anyone and everyone else!

Duckenfield telling the inquest that he will take the regret to his dying day was ****in vomit-inducing...... He portrayed this ****in clown character that was out of his depth. I think he lied today to the inquest as well regarding the terminology used describing liverpool fans entering the stadium to graham Kelly. He said that he said "the liverpool fans entered gate C" which contradicts the previous statement (from Kelly??) that Duckenfield said "they stormed the gate"

Anyway the class clown he lets on to be would have been understandable had he come out in 1989 and said "look sorry, I ****ed up" but he didn't. He stayed quiet. For 25 years. he left the whole ****in world believe that it was hooligan fans. If Duckenfield was lifted from his house tonight and ****in hammered then it would be hard to not condone it......

he may have admitted it, but there is more to answer.
he has gone back to the police hierarchy with this lie. they backed it, but did they know it was a lie. why did senior police edit the statements from many police officers about what happened. this was obviously organised from the top downwards.
    bettison must be complicit.

I don't accept the apology, but I'm relieved that one of the missing links has been filled in with his confession.

Exactly, if he'd really believed he and his force were not to blame i could have understood his stance, even though he'd be living in denial imo, but to know all along it wasn't the fans fault, and to watch all the families go through what they did to get justice, the way they were treated, all the accusations against loved ones! and all the time him knowing the truth, makes me sick, he's looked after his career, and **** on the families every day since it happened.

    ****. Him! is right!

Don't think he can be tried more than once for it.

If he had told the truth all those years ago he would have saved a lot of heartache for families. God knows how the ******* sleeps at night but his type normally do and today's apology is worth sod all. I hope they do prosecute him

Exactly - it's funny how sincere people like this claim to be, once they've been rumbled.
