It's fantastic that Rodgers is willing to have faith in younger players, they deserve their chance. I had doubts about their ability to make the step up, but they're working hard and look very impressive so far. I'm more excited about this season than I have been for a long time in spite of the bad results in the league so far.

4 Players in our line up who have come through the Academy. 3 of which had not seen the first bench 6 months ago

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers sends his side out in search of a first Premier League win of the season when they play Norwich today. In the build-up to the match he has sent out an unequivocal message to winger Stewart Downing.

"He [Downing] has a wonderful left foot but what is important is that it is more than talent. Talent alone is not enough. You have to work hard, you have to fight for the shirt. We have seen that in a number of the young players and if you don't do that then longer-term you won't be here. It is as simple as that really."

Left-back Jose Enrique is in the same boat as Downing, as Rodgers adds: "I don't waste my time waiting until January to tell both players what I know now."

Common Boys - (and most of them are boys) - lets keep the momentum from the West Brom game and get that first league win notched up. Excited!!

                    Bye bye Downing and Enrique.
He makes decisions like there is no pressure on him. It's as if he has been told that he will get the time to implement his ideas and knows the owners will be patient....I suppose they have to be as he's their man.

And it's not as if he has spent £100m either.

Great line up. Really pleased with Rodgers so far tbh, despite the results.

In a way, I'm pleased we spent little this summer now. Still think we need a CF, but we are looking quite strong in other areas.

Ridiculous amount of quality at RB. GJ, Kelly, Flanno & Wisdom.

                              I don't think we'll see Flanno again

Left back seems to be the problem area but Robinson looks a good prospect I suppose and take his chance when it comes....And I think that's key as well, the youngsters will all see that they will get a chance with Rodgers and really look to push on.
