Just heard that absolute **** Ray Houghton on the radio. I think it was FiveLive. The presenter was effusive in her praise for us yesterday but Houghton as usual wanted to put a dampener on it. He actually said: "I'd rather Liverpool won 2-1 every week instead of 5-2 because I just don't think they'll score enough goals"

He then said - and I thought this was quite telling - "I tell you what annoys me, and this annoys a lot of ex-players too - it's Brendan Rodgers getting all the praise in the world as though he invented this sort of football and as if Liverpool have never passed and moved before. It's all Liverpool ever did, in the 60s, 70s, 80s and the rest. Even last season they played some great stuff under Kenny and nearly every week the man of the match was the opposition keeper."

Bitter cunt.

Does he mean something like he'd rather us win 3 games 1-0 than 1 game 3-0, that's the only way I can even get close to making sense of it. I don't care what score we win a game by as long as we win it.

Best thing I noticed about the match was the amount of our players getting into the box when we were attacking. Much more likely to score that way. Mark Lawrensen, bet he feels like such a ****ing asshole now after his comments lately.

Mate Ray Houghton is the biggest prick i have heard on the radio. People bang on about Lawro but he has nothing on that bitter cunt. If he thinks he knows it all i would invite him too do his FA and Uefa badges and see how well he does as a manager.

Houghton is an absolute knob-jockey when covering games on RTE.
Doesn't even matter if its two other teams playing in the CL, he'll still work in slagging Liverpool as if its supposed to be his job description....................under Rafa, he was particularly ******ish.

We'll exhaust teams when we play with that much possession as all they'll do is chase the ball all day.

As we supposedly play a similar style to Barca, I'd love to see how our stats measure up to theirs in a couple of games.

Particularly number of passes, possession and where the passes were made. For instances, do Barca control and dominate the ball in the opposition final third more than what we do, or do they pass it in the middle third more?

I suspect Barca would butt-****ing destroy a stand-offish, ****e side like Norwich in fairness.
Not altogether unusual to see their possession through the ****ing roof against the crap of LaLiga, even in the opposing half.
