              I'd play -
              Jones
              Wisdom Coates Carra Robinson
              Henderson Shelvey Downing
              Pacheco Borini Assaidi.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

While i wasnt too worried about the youngsters going in at the deep end, What did surprises me is that Rodgers doesnt even go for experience on the bench, it shows total faith in the youngsters though and they are obviously responding.

As crazy as it sounds, surely Wisdom needs a rest for the Stoke game?

Can u imagine he gets injured? Although Sahin could play left back & Henderson could come into midfield if need be...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I hope that was tongue in cheek. Please say it was tongue in cheek.

McLaughlin might get a chance at RB.

I'm looking forward to seeing our next right back get a run out for this one. As they say, if you're young enough you're good enough.

                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

This resting players has gone a bit over the top.
Wisdom is 19, as strong as an ox and played Wednesday/Saturday, he has effectively 5 days rest before playing Thursday/Sunday.

That's 4 games in 12 days. He won't even feel that at 19.
I agree it's a problem if he picked up an injury but he also might get knocked over crossing the street, fall ill or get injured in training.

Resting players like Johnson, Gerrard, Agger, Allen, Skrtel, Suarez makes perfect sense as they either have a history of injuries if over played or are too important for us to risk.

Lads like Sterling and Suso will probably be left out as they are younger, have a smaller/slighter physical build and do need protecting a little more.

Resting or protecting Wisdom 2 games into his career would be bonkers

Its not just about injuries. Its match sharpness/hunger too (often overlooked). I wouldn't be unhappy to see him start on Thursday but the game has changed so much that the likes of Wisdom/Sterling/Suso could become injury prone if not managed properly.
                              One tit for another.

Rodgers is expected to again turn to youth for Thursday’s Europa League group match with Italian side Udinese at Anfield, having experimented successfully against Young Boys last month, and against West Bromwich Albion in the Capital One Cup last week.

The likes of Jack Robinson, Samed Yesil and Adam Morgan could all figure. Rodgers was at the club’s Academy on Monday afternoon to watch Rodolfo Borrell’s U21 side beat Fulham 3-0, in a game which saw Joe Cole make his return from a hamstring injury.

The likes of Jordan Henderson, Oussama Assaidi, Stewart Downing and Daniel Pacheco are also expected to feature against Udinese, as the manager shuffles his pack ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Stoke City.
