If you watch his performance for Italy against the USA I think it was he shows what he can do if he is at his best. I think he is probably just a bit nervous of making a good impression and the pressure is on his shoulders quite a bit with our goalscoring problems. Hopefully we will continue our goalscoring form. This should unburden everybody and have a positive influence on the team.

I do get that and he definitely looks like a man under pressure, but sure he's a pro footballer comes with the territory.Originally posted by clanhuman View PostIf you watch his performance for Italy against the USA I think it was he shows what he can do if he is at his best. IMO i don't think he has been helped by playing out wide, Just watching Being Liverpool and Rogers is talking about Borini.. how he works hard but that he is a goal scorer. Playing him out wide is not going to get him goals, he is not the winger type that can beat players and get goals from wide areas. We have Suarez who can do that and who naturally drifts out wide anyways. So IMO Borini centrally makes more sense as he seems to get make good runs and get in great positions.
To be fair though other players have came in and really stepped up so Borini is going to have to show some of this steel we've been hearing about and fight for his place.

Jonjo Shelvey: Available for Liverpool in Europe despite domestic ban
Liverpool welcome Udinese to Anfield on Thursday night hoping to make it two wins out of two in the Europa League.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers named a youthful side in the win over Young Boys in their Group A opener and Rodgers is again likely to rest some of his top stars for Premier League action.
The likes of Jose Reina, Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen, Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez are set to be given the night off against the Italian side.
Brad Jones will replace Reina in goal, while Jamie Carragher will captain the side in the absence of Gerrard.
Rodgers is able to call upon Jonjo Shelvey as he is available to play despite serving a domestic ban for his sending-off against Manchester United recently.
Joe Cole is also back in the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up on the opening day of the season against West Brom.
Long-term absentees Martin Kelly and Lucas Leiva remain sidelined for Liverpool, while Jose Enrique is still working his way back to fitness after a knee problem.
Udinese were held to a 1-1 draw by Anzhi in their opening game and they will be hoping to boost their chances of progressing from the group with a positive result at Anfield.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, who made one appearance for the Reds, will face his old club as he starts in goal for Udinese.
Antonio Di Natale will be Udinese's danger man after scoring in the first game against Anzhi.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
