I suppose that depends if you call a foul cheating.

If your not going for the ball it's as much cheating as diving imo, your either trying to hurt an opponent, and maybe make them have to leave the field injured, or your hurting a player in order to get him to react, both cheating in my book, but with the added danger of injury in comparison to a player taking a dive.

Thing is over here, one is considered manly tough and british, the other cheating diving and foreign.
