I think the importance of captaincy in club football means eff all to be quite honest. I would make the whole team captain - every week they should take it in turns to wear the armband

It's largely symbolic isn't it. I'd like to see football take a leaf from Rugby's book and only allow the captains (and relevant individuals) speak to the ref.

I'm sure last I heard he was due back early November. Not sure if that was in terms of training or full fitness. I'd guess the former?
