Creative & strong I'd describe his performance as with a moments switching off. Wisdom was worse, granted he's young and out of position but I'm trying to highlight the whipping boy brigade.

Why? What could he say seriously? 2 yards on not even close.. He'd have looked a ****ing dick head if he denied it.

Thing is, he is where he is because we have no options in the squad. Would you prefer to see Spearing recalled (shorter?) and push Allen further forward? I wouldn't.

He's playing DM because our squad is wafer thin.
I wish we could make some sort of adjustment to push him further up the pitch before Lucas comes back, but yeah, we have no one with the tactical discipline to do that role better. Allen started the season very brightly, but then teams did their scouting and figured out that the best way to deal with us is to press him very aggressively and and try to take him out of the game. It's not his fault, the other midfielders need to take the ball and step up, but Gerrard has been atrocious keeping possession this season.

Plenty managers would have denied it, even if they knew it was offside. It happens all the time.

Nah, if he can fire up Suarez like that every game, let him!

Wisdom was way worse, a complete liability at right back today. The **** up the the second goal was a team effort, not a solo effort from Enrique.

Our midfield got monstered. Suso and Sahin weren't in the game first half. We couldn't play our usual passing style.

its a derby. we're away from home. back in the days of beardo, barnes, alridge when we were playing amazing stuff at times, the derbys were always different. its frantic, its fast, the crowd bay for every decision, there's no way you can play your normal game under those circumstances.

Kinda shocked some people have Gerrard in their man of match.

We didn't even try to though. I mean its not difficult to pass the ball about a bit and try to get a rhythm going even if the other team were on top physically

I'm not so down with this result, going two up has made it feel worse yes, but all in all, with everyone having the Bitters as fav's, and them being a very established and solid Prem team now too, while we are very much in transition.

The disallowed goal at the very least hands us the moral high ground, and we did get to see Luis perform for the benefit of Moyes.

That's what I kinda figured. I'm hoping its not a thing we'll see happen every few games and its just the derby atmosphere thats caused it.

I don't think I've ever heard Moyes say that tbh, suppose he could of but I think he'd have just looked an utter tit had he said anything else. Wenger is a pro at that.

There were many times where players tried a hopeful pass forward to Suarez or Sterling where I thought they should have tried to hold up possesstion. I think both sides here are right to a point. We weren't going to be able to play a short passing game the whole time. It was almost completely abandoned though.

Part of that was their midfield dominating things. Another thing that worries me going forward is that I think fitness is starting to become an issue.
