A real shame about Reina.
Suso also needs to show why he's in the team over Assaidi; Suso's not really pushed on and has let games pass him by, whilst Assaidi seems to be looking to show what he is capable of, with each game.
I'm guessing Allen will try and keep tabs on Ben Arfa, but both of our flanks are very naive; Wisdom needs to put his last display behind him and Suso needs to offer him support.

A couple of wins in the next few games and we can be right back in the race for the top 4.
However a couple of losses and Rodgers will be under massive pressure.
Who'd be a manager
After the Newcastle game we've got Chelsea (a), Wigan (h), Swansea (a) and Tottenham (a)

Assaidi wasn't exactly brilliant in midweek & when he has been good it's been against teams who are not exactly great. Whereas Suso hasn't really done anything to deserve to be dropped. I didn't catch anything of the Swansea game, so can't really comment on Assaidi's performance in that game. However, during previous performances he has looked to cause mischief and has got himself involved.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostAssaidi wasn't exactly brilliant in midweek & when he has been good it's been against teams who are not exactly great. Whilst you're right - it would probably be harsh to drop Suso - Rodgers seems to want to create a 'win your place' mentality. Suso hasn't proven he can 'cut it at the top level' at all, but as looked neat and tidy in spells.
I'm not calling for Suso to be dropped, but I would hope he can feel Assaidi pushing him for his starting spot and would like to see Suso raise it up a notch. Stoke, Everton and - to a lesser extent Reading - aren't the easiest games to make your mark, but - for me - he does need to put a shift in today.

Unfortunately I think they will get the better of us today.
I was speaking to an ex pro coach the other day and he said that overall of all the managers hes played under it takes about five to six weeks for players to pick up the philosophy of the new manager. Some players pick things up much quicker than others and the learning period can be as little as a couple of weeks.
He thought our players have already played under rafa so it shouldnt take this long for players to learn what rodgers wants the teams to do.
We just dont have the players he wants to play his way. I hope we dont **** around and wait until the last day of the january transfer window to sign one forward. Come first week in jan we should have.our recruits in place.
For today I think newcastle are just better in every aspect - better team unit more lethal etc.. And I think we will find it tough today.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
