Same. Our good moments this term have been great to watch - Young Boys, West Brom, Norwich, City etc. Hodgson's football was consistently soul destroying. I resented it and him.

We have hope under Brendan. Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, Wisdom, Jack and a few other youngster who seem to be forming the nucleus of our future. (Add Kelly, Flanagan)
Under Hodgson we had Poulsen, Konchesky, Cole and co. It was miserable. The football, the hope that we would have a better future ahead, there was nothing that we could be proud of.
Brendan is at least doing the right things his way and that's why people are sticking with him and sticking by him.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

With Hodgson it was hard to see light at the end of the tunnel but with Rogers, even though it's been a rough start we can all see what the end goal is. Problem is not with Rogers .. he is doing all the right things but it's he doesn't have the players 'yet' that can properly implement the type of game that Rogers is trying to apply.
We all entitled to a moan and Rogers will make mistakes but i think most LFC supporters are trying to see the bigger picture. Obviously it hurts when we lose or put in a bad display & IMO there is nothing wrong with a bit of constructive criticism for players or manager. For me January is going to be vital for us to show some progression.. but i think next summer and the start of next season will the point for me when we'll realise where the club is at and how Rogers has done.
Thus far, he talks a good game, he's confident, has given the youngsters a chance, been ruthless when necessary, he's honest and straight forward which us fans appreciate, has got rid of the dead wood, tried to get rid of other sub standards like Cole,Downing & Hendo but unfortunately didn't happen & he is trying to implement a true footballing philosophy at the club. He is making all the right moves now needs bit of time, some luck & some money.

How anyone can question the direction he leading us to is beyond me. This is a completely different LFC to what the Bodge had when he had a similar points tally.
We are in a genuine transition period and if we are unable to go out and buy 2 or 3 established star names, well we will just have to afford BR patience and support.
We are going in the right direction. Up to FSG how quickly they want us to get there IMO. The caution is understandable though after the nightmare of Summer 2011."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

It's not definite just yet.Originally posted by Nigey View PostSo Reina's definitely out for this afternoon then?
Rodgers in his Newcastle pre-game interview indicated that they will assess the condition of Johnson and Reina over next 48 hours but it is likely that unless they are fit he won't take a chance.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Getting knives out is a bit harsh, but lacking yet more confidence in him might be more appropriate.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI dread to think if we don't win. Rodgers is on a worse points tally than Hodgson after this many games, and I get the impression some fans are just itching to get the knives out. It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

That's the match-up I fear the most.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostWe should play Assaidi over Suso imo, think he's been struggling a bit recently.
Big game for Allen today, needs to keep hold of Cabaye.
Allen usually doesn't mark the man and Cabaye is a player that can hurt us.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
