    Anzhi away build up

    Forgot about this one.

Are we all fit for this? Haven't we got an important match on the weekend hence a weakened side for this? Oh no it's only the Chavs away

    Pepe

    Flanagan. Carra. Coates. Robinson

    Hendo. Shelvey. Sahin

    Downing. Yesil. Assaidi

    Bench

    .?????
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Yesil isn't ready IMO and with Morgan rested for reserves one would imagine he would be above him in the pecking order. In saying that, the Europen game should suit Yesil better.

Would like to see Pacheco get another chance as he was excellent last night, but can't see it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just play the under 21 team. Job done, management is soooo easy.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

They really have been excellent this year and considering what should be their best players are playing for the first team, then it’s even more impressive.

Even Borrell got a bit carried away last night in his praise.

Who's this exciting new striker we've bought called Bench? I've never even heard of him

Is Johnson available now? What's up with Robinson?

I'd play a near full-strength team on Thursday. We're out of the League Cup so let's do as well as we can do in the Europa.

Not saying play all of our best players, but I don't want to see a team full of kids and **** like Cole & Downing.

I think it will be kids. Don't even think Gerrard and Suarez are travelling. Personally I'm happy to leave Suarez behind, we just can't risk him IMO.

                          How far away is Borini?

I don't want to see Cole in the squad at all.

Still think we will need to go quite strong though.

Hmm, a fair point about Suarez.

But without him we can't rely on anyone else to score. I don't think we stand a chance of winning the EL (especially when the CL teams drop into it a ****ing farce), but I'd like us to go as far as we can.

But we do of course have to keep in mind how thin our squad is and prioritise the League.

Don't think Borini will be back until around February mate IIRC.

I agree, but we can still take a defeat and easily qualify from the group. There is a fair chance we could still lose with our first team so I can understand why Rodger's wouldn't want to take some of them all the way to Russia. If we strengthen well in January, I see no reason whey we couldn't go on to win it, but I suppose it is a big ask.

Be interesting to see who does start in the middle though. Realistically I can only think of Morgan which doesn't bode well.
