Drop Reina - Jones should be between the sticks. He did nothing wrong for me when he stepped in whilst Pepe was injured.
Can't understand how Reina just got his place back like that, he's not good enough and is prone to errors by an alarming rate nowadays.

Jones should get the gloves, Reina needs to earn his place, and not from past reputations of 3-4 seasons ago.

Maybe he didn't, maybe he's the Europa League choice now

I agree though, Jones in goal makes more sense on form alone.

Whats Pepe done wrong now? Is he getting blamed for Young Boy's second goal? Coz if so thats ridiculous, our defence was non-existent just letting them shoot from everywhere. That shot like all the rest should have been closed down. Hard for any keeper to save that

Just usual people with vendetta's against Pepe without any basis. Clean sheet against Wigan and he was let down by our defence on Thursday

Not sure about Assaidi to be honest. Last night's game summed him up a bit for me, initially looked lively & hungry & then disappeared for about 60 mins. Quick feet and direct but his crossing is woeful. Hopefully he will improve, still looks raw IMO.

Tough game at Swansea, we really need to win this one but not too confident. Was hoping few more Swansea players or manager would abuse Suarez so he gets angry and scores few goals against him , followed by his epic diving celebration

He is predominantly right footed player so you cannot expect him to cross well when he is featured on the left, which can be said to the same degree about Sterling.

Even if the crossing is better we just don't have enough bodies in the box to begin with.

I think Assaidi is a very decent option but needs to be involved more as he does have the tendency to "disappear" if his teammates are not looking for him.

Same here.

There is no doubt that Pepe's form has been on decline for while now but given the limited choices we have he is our number #1 goalkeeper.

Assaidi will need a season getting used to the team before he comes alive. I think he just needs to blend in with us and eventually will get there. He seems such a humble, quiet lad and he may just need a bit of a confidence boost.

I have no vendetta against Pepe. I like him but he has not impressed me lately.

Have to disagree with you I'm afraid. I'm not a 'flavour of the month' type fan at all. If you have watched Reina over the past two seasons he's keeping has got progressively worse. He seems very uncomfortable with crosses into the box nowadays, not confident of manning his area and his shot stopping has become very dodgy. I think the catalyst was when he fumbled the ball into the goal against Arsenal start of 2011 season. He just seems littered with simple errors nowadays, and the past two seasons. Catching, shot stopping, commanding the box, one-on-one saves etc.

So this is why I prefer Jones right now, he seemed to be growing in confidence when he was no1 last month and his one-on-one saves against Newcastle and Chelsea were impressive - probably cos we're used to seeing the opposition score in these situations.

Regarding that second goal on Thurs, yes, I felt he should have tipped that over the bar. Look at the other prem keepers reflexes, and you'll see they're a bit more sharper than he is at the moment.
