I don't get it. A failed left back playing left wing, a failed left winger playing left back against one of the quickest and trickiest wingers in the league. Henderson, what does he do? What are his positives?
I just don't get any of it.-----------------------------------------------

AVB got it spot on, could hear him at one point urging them to close us down when Reina had the ball. We had no answers for it.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostSpurs did a Rafa on us at the start, massively quick out of the blocks, huge tempo and wer were caught flat footed, one paced and dazed.
Out thought and out gunned. We looked pedestrian and the game was lost after 15 minutes.Vive la France

I did feel we could get something from that game too and I do feel optimistic. It's just that the more we fail to win, the less we might believe in ourselves.Originally posted by Nigey View PostDon't think we started slowly. We conceded a stupid goal on the counter once again but we were bossing it. Then the second goal was never a freekick. The better team lost today. Spurs were battered for 3/4 of the game.
You could see where we're going with that performance. Bar the result, it epitomises Rodgers' style. Total control, patient passing and excellent pressing. We will get there once he's brought in his players, but the key will be on how well he buys. Let's hope it's not another disaster in the transfer market.
I'm really optimistic for the future now. We aren't letting our heads down and getting on with the work. Gutted about the result though.
Hopefully we sign some significant (to our playing style) players in January. Was muß, das muß.

I'm not drinking!Originally posted by malg View PostYe ye, what you drinking mate. The only way we will be fantastic is if **** loads of money is invested and with a manager that will spend it wisely, not sure present incumbent will do.
I genuinely am excited about being a fan right now. Lots of youth coming through, good passing game. Just need to get the movement and the goalscoring right and we are on to a winner

What difference will it make in the championship.Originally posted by clanhuman View PostHonestly though, genuinely excited for the future. Our team is going to look amazing in 2 years.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Experiments?
There were no experiments today ffs. Thought Downing played OK, got caught out for the first or second goal, but he was generally decent. Think that might be his best position now.
Think Henderson and Allen in CM will do before we see Lucas back. Think it gives us a wee bit more balance in midfield. Are we winning?

Would love some of you optimism, but I seriously lack it. I just don't see Rodgers as the man for the job,but never felt it since the day he was named.Originally posted by clanhuman View PostI'm not drinking!
