We are totally brain dead as a team,so many stupid fouls in dangerous places and the manager wants shooting for picking Downing at left back again.Quite a few times Gerrard and Allen didn't bother tracking back after a break.did my head in watching us outnumbered and staying that way

Still we had more then enough chances to win that game comfortably.Enrique will get goals up there,he's a danger.

I'm worried,We need quality signings in January and we need every one of them to be an instant and sustained success or we will secure our place in midtable mediocrity for some time to come.

He has no one to blame but himself. Playing a "failed left winger" at left back and a "failed left back" at left wing as someone has just said. His decisions are starting to worry me.

Don't think we started slowly. We conceded a stupid goal on the counter once again but we were bossing it. Then the second goal was never a freekick. The better team lost today. Spurs were battered for 3/4 of the game.

You could see where we're going with that performance. Bar the result, it epitomises Rodgers' style. Total control, patient passing and excellent pressing. We will get there once he's brought in his players, but the key will be on how well he buys. Let's hope it's not another disaster in the transfer market.

I'm really optimistic for the future now. We aren't letting our heads down and getting on with the work. Gutted about the result though.

We conceded a crap goal on the counter where Downing switched off at the back post and then conceded a goal where there was a massive deflection. We should have had 2 penalties, had the ball cleared off the line twice, dominated possession and looked dangerous.

I genuinely thought we played well and were by far the better team.

Bar their first goal we set up fine defensively.

Downing as a left back is one, so what if he did ok he was at fault for the first goal because he does not know the positioning required by a left back

Baffling that Downing was again selected as our LB after his performance on Sunday. Worrying.

Henderson was poor mate, we need much better than him, he doesn't offer enough going forward and his defensive contribution consists of standing in front of someone and nothing more.
Allen was better today, but I do think he needs a bit more in his attacking game.

He's a good player and his best position is CM. Don't think he needs to be doing anything special. He rarely loses the ball.
