Cursed, absolutely cursed. Every game feels the same, dominant but somehow defeated.

You can blame him for the clanger at Norwich, the clanger v Hearts, the clanger v Arsenal and the woeful goalkeeping for their first though.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostYou can't blame Reina when the defenders provide no protection in front of him.
We have got to be the least consistent team in the league

That is a little silly, we have spent most of the half attacking, what we fail to do is shoot enough.Originally posted by Dr-Gonzo View PostVilla's keeper couldn't have had an easier day. Rodgers has fooled people into believing possession means totally dominating a game.

how many pages were in the brendan rodgers folder... i bet the FSg guys got bored reading after the first ten, just as well as the rest were blank...
this is like the emperors new clothes. tika taka
unless he fires them up for a istanbul like second half then serious questions about his stuborness to stick to this system need to be asked. we just dont play it well. it is wide open defensively, and lacks teeth in attack
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I don't think the first goal was Reina's fault, it was an immense well hit shot that clipped the inside of the post and was hit very early.Originally posted by Chris View PostYou can blame him for the clanger at Norwich, the clanger v Hearts, the clanger v Arsenal and the woeful goalkeeping for their first though.

I saw the play building up with Benteke not being closed down. Fair enough I thought as he won't score from there against any premier league goalie even if he shoots. Then a supposed premier league goalie fails to stop what was effectively a sidefoot attempt.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostNot sure blaming Reina is anything more than unthinking knee jerk.
No knee jerk I'm afraid, that was very poor from Reina. Normally not an issue as every goalie makes them. Then you remember how many Reina has made. One tit for another.

Maybe, but both goals were soft. As are so many of the goals we concede. To me, there is a lack of defensive organisation and tactical awareness. It is a naive way to play with lets face it, some pretty experienced players out there (bar Sterling and Shelvey).Originally posted by Mattshark View PostThat is because we still obviously lack enough quality in our team.Oh I don't know.

We seem clueless in the final third of the pitch. Shelvey has been terrible,as has Sterling and Suarez. This Villa team is the worst we have played this season and yet they are 2 up....I can't see us getting back into this.
Anyone blaming Reina for either of the goals needs their heads examined. The first goal Benteke was not closed down,in off the post, the second was terrible tracking back from Allen I think it was.
He needs dropping.-----------------------------------------------

Hardly his fault. It hit the inside of the post and it was hit with a lot of power.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

Harsh to blame him for that, the shot should have been closed down.
Now the second game he probably should have stopped.
