Dude, you hate Stevie compared to how much I love him. So there.

at the time brendan had no scouts to go to for new player suggestions and had bought borini and allen as he knew a bit about them... based on their impact he was probably being cautious.
he might have known a bit about sturridge but it was probably old news and maybe he felt a loan was a safer option as it didnt commit the cloob.

The current committee was not in place that August so let's be having less thinking and more "Yes Jaco, how high sir".

Aye that is true on the Committee. My bad

Its all irrelevant anyway. Has never shown those alleged attitude problems and just comes across a genuine guy who is a top class finisher. He ended up here in the end so its all good

I accept your apology and also your admission that I am always right

As for Sturridge's supposed attitude, methinks most of that was created on the pages of tabloids.

I've seen it a few times. Usually when he's searching for a hat trick or struggling. He's a striker though. I'll take some selfishness rather than none. Unlike at Chelsea, he's in a very attacking side, with a player like Suarez creating chaos and space. There are enough chances to go around.

I don't think its inconceivable he had an attitude issue, he was treated like **** by Chelsea.

But I don't think that means he was the one with an issue or he needs to be judged upon it, it was with good reason.

It's entirely possible stories of his attitude were true, and yet he is genuinely a good bloke.

The thing is that the red tops continued to mention his supposed attitude issues after he joined us, and have done so right to very recently.

For me is smacks of the usual lazy journalism that the red tops excel at.

What I have seen is a guy that usually works hard on the pitch, a guy who is no more selfish than any other good striker, a guy who has the odd moment when he expresses a FFS on the pitch (again just like any other player), and who has attracted no negative headlines for his actions off of the pitch.

Comes across as a model pro, and if the media are confusing ego and confidence on the pitch as having a bad attitude, then that's their problem.

No doubt it's been mentioned already, but Sky have a special interview with this arrogant, prima donna ****tard on SS1 tonight on both before and after the game.
If you want to hear some of most ill-deserved, deluded and unwarranted self-praise, make sure you tune in.
And leave your attitude behind, as Sturridge will have more than enough to go round.

This interview is great, ending was a bit Suarez heavy but Sturridge comes across as a lovely chap I have to say

Coming across really well in his interview. Great to see the hunger but humility.
