this whole thing is a bit of a nightmare to be honest..... the whole season now becomes damage limitation and prep for next season.
Also, our squad is now totally lob-sided as well. We have shotload of central midfielders now that can't get a game and feck all useful strikers.....
For me though, Brendan should look beyond personnel and play the formation that he intends to use. I am hoping that is the diamond formation coupled with high intensity pressure on the ball - purely because both last season and this season, that has been the formation and tactics combo that has most suited LFC. Just because Sturridge isn't available that shouldn't change his approach. Why? Because when he goes to FSG at the end of the season and says "i could only play with one up top" they can tell him to feck off on the basis that (a) he was given shedloads to spend and should have thought that through and (b) he was only playing one up top anyway.
I would like to see Sterling pushed up top with another striker.

2 of the better forwards in the world, one ****s off and one cant get on the pitch. ****ing typical! We haven't done bad with strikers over the years though despite a load of naff signings so hopefully we can pull one out of the bag in January.
I'd still freeze Borini out, we need the cash if he finally gets the hint.

I'd be shocked if we bought anyone in January never mind someone of the quality we actually need. We'll be selling 1 or 2 I'd imagine and maybe look for a loan deal, wasn't it just this summer gone we read about how poorly we were doing with the FFP rules?Originally posted by Chris View Post2 of the better forwards in the world, one ****s off and one cant get on the pitch. ****ing typical! I'd had a drink last night when I posted this but I reiterate that I fear for Sturridge's future as a professional footballer.
The amount of injuries he's getting and how easy it is for him to get injured is really concerning. I don't know what he or the club can do, do you leave him to recover for an entire season or change and adapt or possibly even make a training/fitness regime built around him?
Either way we need someone in who is of real quality because there will be further passages this season where he will be out, you just know it.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
