We should always take quality players if they're available. Read an interview by Anfield HQ on a podcast with Paul Joyce of the Express.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostDo we still need Sane?
He reckons Klopp will keep his powder dry so he can fully assess the squad & make changes in the summer. It'd be nice to buy that top player to give us an extra kick in January, but Newcastle thought that with Asprilla back in the day and it backfired.Forwards.......

I thought he was still pretty **** to be honest (moments of clinical brilliance aside)
His touch was heavy, he was sulking around the pitch, bitching out of tackles, and not really pressing much.
Still can't complain with two goals and hopefully its the start of a good run of games. Because theres no doubt he will bang in goals in this side once he hits his stride."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

He did what he's paid to do and his performance didn't put us any undue pressure. In fact I'd say being on the pitch after those two goals did more to their defence than any pressing could achieve.Originally posted by Harv View PostI thought he was still pretty **** to be honest (moments of clinical brilliance aside)

Seriously after what he's been through ... give him the ball in space he'll score you goals ..he does not have hit his stride .. he scores always ... I think he is our most deadly striker ........ever in terms of minutes to goals ... He has scored in 5 of his last 6 Capital one Cup gamesOriginally posted by Harv View PostI thought he was still pretty **** to be honest (moments of clinical brilliance aside)

He didn't defend well, didn't score a hattrick of overhead kicks, didn't leap 10ft to win headers and didn't save any goals. What a wage stealer.Originally posted by Harv View PostI thought he was still pretty **** to be honest (moments of clinical brilliance aside)

My solidarity issue with Dan is his fitness both physical and mental, how he plays, his attitude, etc etc is spot on .. you have different tools for different jobs .. Dan is not going to win you the ball high up the pitch ...Firmino or Coutinho will do that for you and get the ball quickly to Dan who will immediately score you a goal .. every single time
If Klopp can sort his head out and Dan can remain strong and healthy we have a world beater on out hands .. Whilst he cannot do the same things Louie (nobody can) he has that quickness of thought and creativity that only true worldclass players have .. his first goal last night was typical ... no hesitation receive the ball, create space shoot ..goalAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Not really. His touch was **** and he had to take it wide. Caulker sat off him and allowed him onto his left foot. Amateur defending really. As soon as he did that you knew Studge would pull the trigger.Originally posted by Nicey View PostMy solidarity issue with Dan is his fitness both physical and mental, how he plays, his attitude, etc etc is spot on .. you have different tools for different jobs .. Second goal was class all round though. Great run in behind, perfect ball over the top with the outside of the foot and a one touch finish. Doesn't get any better than that and something i hope we see loads more of with Coutinho, Hendo and Firmino to come into the side who can all pick a pass."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

He was average for his standards (goals aside) I don't get the loveliest? Theres loads more to come once he's not so rusty and sulky.
