IF his body holds out he'll be a great member of the squad - and if my chance he plays through the middle with Mane and Salah and starts banging them in... well he's a 20+ goals a season man, something I don't think Firmino is.

    Big, massive if though.
To be honest I think he is always going to be a plan B for Klopp who will always prefer someone like Firmino who starts the press and brings the rest of the team into the game.

If we start the season with Salah, Mane, Coutinho and a fit Sturridge then I think we are going to be a very exciting proposition even without more signings.

He's never a Klopp striker despite the injury but he's welcome to the bench if he can stay fit. I'm hoping we can get a hurrah season out of him if only so we can finally sell him on and replace with a more suitable striker next year.
I thought he was nailed on to leave this summer, but I actually believe Klopp when he says that there is no point in selling him as it would cost too much to replace him.

I know there is no point is keeping a permanently injured player in the squad, but if Klopp genuinely doesn't want to spend a good chunk of his transfer budget on a reserve forward, you can understand why he's willing to take the risk with Sturridge.

Good news if true, but it didn't look fatigue related (not that I'm an expert). I wonder if he's playing it down due to all the past criticism he's received, so doesn't want to come out and say he think she's injured again. Obviously if he is, the physios will pick it up, so he doesn't need to diagnose himself publically.

I'm inclined to believe the fatigue line. Fowler mentioned before the game about how intense Klopps pre season training is and even going by some instagram and twitter posts a lot of the players feel that way. Good preparation and after the holidays, fatigue is unsurprising

as exciting as this line up is, the issue isnt starting with them, but how long we can keep them all fit and playing at 100%

It's amazing what a haircut does for perceptions.

What match was it at the end of last season where he kept on looking over to the bench after getting the ball in the head from a free kick?

We've a history of underplaying injuries though so I won't believe anything until I see him in a shirt again.

Isn't it only really Sturridge has a long record of injuries though?

He's out of the Watford game according to the Echo. What was supposed to be a small fatigue problem is now an injury that's keeping him out of a game nearly 2 weeks later... Solanke better be the **** in official games too.

You'd have been very naive to have bought that "fatigue issue" with Sturridge.
