Tough one....he doesn't feature under klopp, hadn't done nythin in about 2 years and is always injured...the fact that only West Brom and Newcastle seemingly where the two options, kinda shows where his standing is now, and personally id be shocked if he started more than 10 games for West Brom

    But....

My god what are we doing....having just sold coutinho, sturidge was prob our most natural footballer/finisher we had, and we are now two attacking players down.

We simply can't rely on firminho/mane/salah to play every game till the end of the season....and when one or more of those are missing we are ****ed

Just so Liverpool, glimmers of hope and they leave us short and found wanting...again

That’s the perplexing bit. OK we can alter the formation and play Mane or Salah as a CF, but then our bench looks ****.

Surely something is happening on the QT. It’s almost too quiet.

Yeah we are in this circle of our best players end up wanting to go elsewhere for trophies and we never get anywhere because we let our best players go! We’ll probably look great again next season with Keita, feel like we are on the verge of something but Salah will go at the end and we are back to rebuilding and/or replacing. It’s ****.

Still can’t believe we were playing some of the best attacking football on the planet, had a legit outside shot at the CL, with rotation options and we’ve decided to weaken ourselves mid season. It’s too stupid to comprehend. Even Barca and City who have won their leagues already have strengthened, this is what we are competing against!

Re the always injured bit - in the last two years Hendo, Lallana and Ings have all missed more games though injury than Sturridge.

Not sure if Klopp didn’t fancy him or FSG wanted his wages off the books, I’ve gone from being an FSG apologist to starting to doubt everything about them. This transfer window has baffled me so far and I just can’t believe that the club could be so ****ing stupid and not sign replacements.

Everyone around us is strengthening and we are off loading players left right and Centre.

              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Letting sturridge go or the right thing to do, not getting reinforcement is unacceptable.

Pretty sure the reason why we're not bringing anyone in is because Klopp can't get his top targets at anything other than silly money, rather than FSG not being willing to give him some money. I'm sure there are bargains and players to be had, but not the players Klopp wants - so frankly I think it is on him. Would still prefer we spent big on the players we want rather than spent large on players who aren't first choices. We forget too quickly how many players we've had to move on because they weren't good enough - it's massively draining for the club to continually sign opportunistically. If you want to blame FSG then that's up to you. I'm blaming Klopp on the lack of replacements, but would still rather he got his first choice than a random 'bargain'.
                  Really?

£20m to RBL for Naby. £44m? for Allisson. And then £50m or so for Riyad Mahrez.

                    That would do nicely.

very sad he never got to fulfill his potential, amazing in 13/14 possibly the best finisher in the league, **** knows what has gone on in the last few years, what a waste for him and us

Are you serious? £20m for a half season loan?
What if Klopp doesn't want/rate Allisson and Mahrez?

He was absolutely lethal. Joins a growing list of brilliant forwards we've had whose form dwindled all too early.

Tough. Just buy the players and tell him to play them.

Surely a replacement for Sturridge is not required? He was injured half the time, benched the rest of the time and pretty much ineffective coming off the bench as an impact sub? He doesn't need replacing cos he never made a difference.
