Sturridge is one of my favourite ever LFC players even in the short time he has been functional. Can play all roles: left mid, number 10, number 9 and right mid. Being not just reliable but downright unplayable in all of those positions.

Unfortunately, he's composed of over-diluted porridge and doesn't have the mental strength to play through pain (or perceived pain). I''ve seen players play with broken collar bones, twisted ankles, collapsed achilles, dislocated shoulders and not give it a second thought. Sturridge only has to think about a potential injury and he's 'not ready' or needs to be subbed asap.

Don't mean to belittle one of my heroes, but whether its his actual physical make-up or his mental roadblocks either way he's not the answer for next season or any other season with us. Specially not when we have so many fantastic solutions elsewhere (within the club and outside waiting to come in).
    One tit for another.

I dont think you can blame his mentality. most of his injuries take a while to heal which suggests its more than just a mental problem. I think its unfair when people bring that up, when its based on pure speculation.

He is made of straw and twigs though.

Shame... but if he could stay fit then I have no doubt he can still be a great player for us. Not sure anyone could afford a fee and his wages with his past injury record, so id be happy to give him another season if we dont bring in another striker.

Thats a conundrum for another team to ponder hopefully.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He looks leaner and quieter than usual..either way he'll get a good season or we get a reasonable price. Would be a good shout for Italy though less pace needed

I'm praying some other rich club is on the same wavelength.

              "my new role"

He could be a pretty good 10 imo

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                How was he against Tranmere?

For the record, I don't expect him to play any kind of role for us next season, unless we've replaced most of his body parts for new ones. What a ****in player he could have been...

                  6 million dollars. Bargain.

it crossed my mind against chester, he was dropping in and pinging balls over their defence for fun.

i've no idea how it would work with our usual shape and deep lying teams, but having him milling out and getting in the box late would be a nice option.

last time he tried to reinvent himself hugging the right wing, he was ****e though

Probably best get him more time on the ball so we can offload. It'd be some comeback from the wilderness of the west Brom physio bench.

He kept pinging pretty decent diagonal balls to our left channel. Had a couple of runs into the box. Did seem to be playing deeper. Is that confirmation of his rebirth as a false 9, or number 10? Confusing because you want to see him in the box rather than outside it.

Nothing's changed in his movements over the past 3 seasons of performances. He's played very deep for most of that period. When he got into the box, he'd score, but a lot of his work was done in the deeper areas, so I don't really get the surprise.

Seen him play some quality through balls from deeper. He could be excellent there if only he wasn’t himself

                            Gutted for him. Almost.

I thought he often dropped deap and broke wide with Sterling and Suarez. Thats why defences could not handle us.

Maybe he is trying to learn to play more like Bobby, so that the pattern doesn't have to be changed to play Daniel rather than Bobby
