If Comolli was still here we would end up with Callum Mcmanaman for about £25m

I'd go Sturridge through the middle and Luis as a nominal inside left forward, but they are interchangeable. If we could get a wide forward to upgrade big time on Downing then our attack is going to be awesome.
I think with Coutinho and Suarez at least they've got the game to interchange and move about the issue would be the other player, as I don't think Downing is up to it to play that sort of fluid football.

If only we'd got Mata when Rafa wanted him

It would have been signed yesterday after the cup final

Sanchez strikes me as overrated, but thats probably with him playing in the Barca team. I just couldn't see him being a Premier League player

If only we'd got Mata instead of Downing! Galling.

Downing does stick out like a sore thumb in a front four with Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge though. Functional at best. What's happened to Muniain this season? Not seen much of Bilbao.

I think Sanchez struggles in the Barca team due to the way they play, he's a player that wants to use his pace, I think he could be very good in this league.

                Great compilation Mo.

I am so damn excited about next season now. Coutinho and Sturridge are on the same wavelength big time! Happy days are coming!

Alexis Sanchez makes me want to cry. Has been awful for Barcelona, but somehow manages to shoehorn a few goals in there.

Muniain has been used as a no.10 if you like more often this season, playing centrally and dictating play. It's only when Bilbao have been desperate when they've chucked him further forward.

£3.5M more than Downing Downing does stick out doesn't he.

No idea about Muniain this season, although looking at his stats just the 3 goals with 8 assists compared to last season of 10 & 10 - surely out of our reach at the moment though.

Searing pace - quicker than I'd thought - can spot a pass (sometimes ), beats people and scores goals. I honestly don't think there's a better English striker around and yet he can get so much better. Him and Coutinho for £20m was ****ing great business for once. So refreshing.
He can be lazy at times and his work rate is sometimes an issue.

If he can improve in that area he can be a big player for us.

Found this stat on another forum.

Daniel Sturridge has scored more goals in his opening 15 games than any of Suarez, Rush, Fowler, Torres, Owen or Dalglish did for Liverpool.

                                Wow..Just wow
