January is a difficult month to improve the squad and for the most part buying clubs have to pay the premium to acquire the new blood.
That table that Gibbo posted is another proof that we have to stop looking at England as the only place to attract players but Sturridge has signed for us now and I really hope he does well.

Best of luck to the lad, the pressure will be on him from day one but hopefully he'll settle in quickly and be a consistent scorer for us. Is he ready to play soon? He's had a few injuries this season (said it himself in interview) and I hope he gets game time against Mansfield and perhaps a start v mancs. Has he a Twitter account?Comment
