Rodgers just said he's followed Sturridge since he was 12-13 when he was at City. He said his best position is central striker but is multifunctional. He'll play him where he sees fit in a game.

Well as normal your wrong. Im not a WUM just realistic. I dont really rate Rodgers and so far nothing he has done has made me think anything different. This also goes for Sturridge. As a few fans who feel the same way we hope we are wrong as Liverpool will be better for it. I like rodgers and really hope he does well as we have the potential to have a United scenario, a manger with us for a long long time, winning trophys. The site is a forum which means people have differing views,to be called a WUM because my view is different to you is an insult. Plenty of people on this site who by bring positive all the time are not being realistic. You're the opposite. So negative that you have gone past the stage of being realistic.

I'm actually quite pleased with this signing, it might not be 100% ideal or my first choice if we had an option of every player in the world. But we're not in an ideal position and don't have an limitless top class options. I think that despite his shortcomings, Sturridge has done enough over the last few seasons to show he has the quality to play at a level which would improve us, and has the capacity to score goals, which we really need, especially if Suarez went missing through injury or any other reason. He gives us options in forward positions and is young and can still improve some bit.
Very satisfied at this point. Hope he gets the hang of everything this season, but if he has a slow start, it'll help him (and others) hit the ground running next season. Regardless at very least our depth is worryingly low so adding players with his kind of profile can't hurt.Comment
