Plenty of people on this site who by bring positive all the time are not being realistic. You're the opposite. So negative that you have gone past the stage of being realistic.

Are they all your actual views and outlook on the club, or do you just use this forum as a way to vent your frustrations?
That's unfair. Where in the rules does it say your posts have to be constructive? Don't get me wrong 50 negative ****s would be unbearable, but a few is fine, just like I welcome wind up merchants, thick *******s and the idiots. **** ive just described myself. go malg.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

BR: “This has been in the plan for a few months. When Suarez played at Ajax he played in behind as a No 10 in between the lines."

Sturridge up front through the middle then.

So presuming we keep a variation of 4-3-3 thats Suarez at the tip of the midfield 3 with Sterling/Borini/Downing/Whoever either side of Sturridge.

                  Interesting.

I suggested suarez as the creative flair at the head of our midfield attack a while ago. Please make cheques payable to : Dave Baitman

Luis Suárez handed different role to make way for £12m Daniel Sturridge

                        Published 1 minute ago

The status of Luis Suárez as Liverpool’s top scorer and talisman will not prevent a change of position to accommodate the arrival of Daniel Sturridge.

Suárez has flourished as a central striker this season, emerging as a leading contender for the Footballer of the Year award after scoring 15 Barclays Premier League goals in the first half of a season in which he has, at times, carried the attack almost singlehandedly.

However, Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager, has intimated that he believes the Uruguay forward could be just as effective in a more withdrawn or wider role in his preferred 4-3-3 system as he looks to push Sturridge, the new £12 million signing from Chelsea, into his favoured central role.

Such a redeployment of Suárez would be a gamble, but it would also be a demonstration of Rodgers’s faith in Sturridge, who is expected to make his Liverpool debut in Sunday’s FA Cup third-round tie away to Mansfield Town.

Rodgers revealed his plan for Suárez in a recent question-and-answer session with Liverpool supporters’ websites, in which he said: “I don’t see Luis staying in the middle. His strength is on the move, but if you do that you need someone in the box. He’s so creative, but there’s no one to pull the ball back to.”

The arrival of Sturridge has changed that and Rodgers is now in a position to put his plan into practice, even if it does mean that Suárez has to accept taking on a new role for what his manager describes as “the common good of the team”.

“Daniel’s best position is as a central striker,” Rodgers said. “I have said 4-3-3 will become richer because of the type of players. There is not one way to play 4-3-3. You can play one up, a floating No 9 like Luis Suárez and two wingers. You can play one like Daniel Sturridge central, two in and around him narrow, with full backs bombing on.

“The principles of your game are based on your players. I think for Daniel, his best position will be straight through the middle with his pace. I spoke with Luis at length about this a number of times.

“This has been in the plan for a few months. When he played at Ajax he played in behind as a No 10 in between the lines, and he played as a reverse winger from the left side so he wasn’t quite out wide, he was tucked in round the corner.

“Wherever he plays, he will make the same movements and he will find the space because he is a world-class player. It is not a problem having top players. Don’t talk about problems with players, we need good players.”

Rodgers turned down the chance to sign Sturridge last summer, but has since been convinced by both the 23-year-old’s attitude and desire to play for Liverpool. He also believes that the move to Anfield is the right one at the right time for the England forward, something he does not believe was the case when Sturridge joined Chelsea from Manchester City 3½ years ago.

“There is always a risk and doubts about any player,” Rodgers said. “I have spoken to enough people who have worked with Daniel, and you always have to do your homework. You are never going to be 100 per cent sure they will succeed, but over time you have that bit of thinking time to look around and see how they are going to fit in, and then when you meet the player and take it from his own side.

“You need to look in the player’s eyes and see if they have that hunger, and he is coming off the back of being at a big club but one where he hasn’t played and he is coming here with everything to prove.”

                        Taking a chance

Since Daniel Sturridge joined Bolton Wanderers on loan from Chelsea in January 2011, a successful move that advanced his career, he has scored as frequently in the league as Frank Lampard and more regularly than Luis Suárez.

Minutes per Premier League goal since January 2011 (selected players):

                        102

Robin van Persie (Arsenal, Manchester United)

                        123

                        Sergio Agüero (Manchester City)

                        149

                        Carlos Tévez (Manchester City)

                        172

                        Sturridge (Bolton, Chelsea)

                        172

                        Lampard (Chelsea)

                        182

                        Suárez (Liverpool)

                          Won't happen.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I acknowledge (and agree with) the rational behind those comments, but most of me feels like it'd be madness to tinker with Suarez positioning/role for the remainder of this season considering the fact he's been basically unplayable thus far in his current role.

When others argued how 'blatantly obvious' it was that Suarez couldn't play in the centre and Borini should play there, I didn't agree.

He's been phenomenal there this season but I think he could be just as effective from a wide position and would have no problems playing him there if Sturridge finds form.

Rodgers has got the best out of Suarez so I trust him on it, it's hardly like he'll be shoved out on the touchline and asked to track back all game if he is moved slightly anyway. He'll be immense wherever.
