I'm already re-impressed. He can drift to the right, has skill and can burn past defenders.
i said the same at the time.

Suarez, Sturridge and Borini for the front three.

He dropped deep on quite a number of occasions and linked up well with Suarez. In my opinion it won't be too long before you see him pick the ball up from deep go past a couple of players and rifle one in the back of the net. He's got the skill and trickery to do that.

I honestly think a fit and flying Sturridge probably would have cut inside with the chance he had when one on one with Ferdinand and taken a shot with his right foot. I don't think he was ever going to beat the keeper from the angle he took the shot with his left unless De Gea made a howler.
He did exactly the same yesterday as he did for Andre Villas Boas at Chelsea, but also picking the ball from deep and going past a few players.

Put him in a Liverpool shirt and people can now see the quality he has.

Far, far more effective than Downing, Suarez, Sterling I'd be willing to bet and its nice to know we have options now. Sterling will be a good impact sub for a few years so he has time to work on his physical side to take the EPL by storm.

Brendog says Sturridge needs another week before he's ready to start - hopefully we'll see him start against Arseanal.

He's a bit cocky for my liking. Shot when there were better options. Still, I think he will be very useful in the second half of the season and will contribute more goals to this side. Some great link up play with Suarez.

Well I'd prefer that cockiness to Downing and his timid nature. I think its good that he will take on a shot when he feels like it. He clearly believes he has the talent and if he gets a goal every game none of us will really have a problem.

I would prefer if he was aware where his team mates were too. There may be better placed players. Early days, am sure it will come with time.

Seemed to link well with suarez, early days but the signs are good.

I think any player will link well with Suarez though.

Not so sure. I did not think Sturridge would link up with him at all, but fair play to the lad he has looked up and tried to play the one-twos and they look good together already.

Never really saw AC and Suarez play as a proper partnership IMO.

I'm sure this can be levelled at every player that ever lived.

                                That's because AC was/is woeful
