I am basing it on his performance yesterday alone. You can extrapolate as you wish.

I've not read the latest cutting edge thinking in this thread, but I have noticed a trend with Sturridge.

He scores with his first shot, gets himself into many great positions for further chances, which he fluffs.
Good and bad. But he gets way more chances than our other players when he's on the pitch. The sign of a poacher. If he could become more clinical, we could have a real player here.

It was good to see a player genuinely looking for rebounds or something coming back off the keeper, we've not had players doing that for a while now.
He certainly seems keen on making an impression with us which is good to see.

Pure poacher, given he has been criticised for being too selfish and head down merchant but gets in great positions & 2 in 2 ain't a bad start.

If we can get few players in this window and decide on our best team, Sturridge could turn out to be an excellent buy.

He's ****ing brilliant. We've completely done Chelsea over here, they might still be in the title race if they'd played the quality striker they had. We seem to come out of transfer deals with them really well!
