One thing i liked immediately was that he took the shirt without a problem, like Suarez did, sometimes a player just looks wrong in the Red of Lfc, like it's made of chainmail weighing him down.

Slowly but surely our squad is looking like we have a few such players, not all of them first choices, and some first choices that we we'll look to improve on and then drop them down to being squad players, but sqaud players that get games, because they can be trusted to slot in and give continuity when the manager sees fit.

To be honest I had not seen enough of him to form a proper opinion. But a Chelsea work mate of mine was furious they were letting him him go to us. He was convinced sturridge was going to be a top player if he was given a proper chance.

I've been quite impressed with him so far, the early signs look promising.

It's a bit too early to be judging him either positively or negatively. For all we know he could bang loads in between now and the end of the season or could end up going on a barren run, nobody knows.

I hope he's a success anyway that's the main thing.

I don't think so, but he probably would have had an assist. Looked to me like a good cross that, if it didn't hit the Norwich defender, would have been tapped in by Downing running onto the far post.

I thought that was Borini running onto Sterlings cross/shot that ended in an own goal.

Your Chelsea mate should relax. He is going to get to see him become a top striker, just not at Chelsea
