In fairness that could have happened at any point in time.

He is not stranger to injuries and fitness issues.

I remember him admitting recently that he can only wish to be as fit as Suarez.

So, all that ligament damage talk was for naught. High ankle sprain. I'll take it.

is it possible this is to prevent us having our trousers pulled down by any club trying to bump the price up for their players as they think we are in even more desperate need of replacement/s

or maybe sturridge will be ok as said

Echo today writes he will be ready for start of the season, but miss most of preseason. Injury not as bad as feared :http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport...rridge-4067178

Misses pre season which is a huge blow. He could struggle all season with his form.

Still much better than first reported being out 4 months...

Missing pre-season is just as bad news to be honest

With his record he could easily pick up another injury without pre season.

Yeah, it's a real worry. The idiot should have pulled out if he was carrying a knock. Sick of our players just playing meaningless games carrying injuries

Going to have to buy him some back-up.

It is for a player like Sturridge who picks up injuries quite regularly. Look at 2nd half of the season. Was in and out of the team and took him a couple of games to get sharpness back
