I would presume he meant that he is in the middle of a 4 month-long injury. Or nearly at the end of it to be more accurate.

Would everyone be happy with Sturridge as our main striker next season on the assumption Suarez ****s off?

My only issue with Sturridge is his fitness, he does pick up a lot of knocks and niggling injuries and that is holding him back from being the main front line striker we can rely on, when fit he looks the real deal, 10 league goals in 14 appearances is a hell of a record

If Luis goes we'll need to buy a striker, Sturridge is too unreliable I'm afraid, injury prone and while he's one of the best strikers in the PL when on form he can be inconsistent.
But I believe Luis is staying anyway.

Sturridge, Aspas and Borini might be enough, if Sturridge stays fit, Aspas takes to the league and Borini comes good. That's a lot of if's though; without Suarez we really would need at least one other quality source of goals imo. With him I think our attack is much stronger than this time last year.

Borini isn't ready to play at this level yet and can't be counted on for anything.

excited because yes i am looking forward to the football being back in my life

also very keen with how our squad has shaped up and very interested to see how the new signings do.

however the whole suarez issue is like heavy rain cloud pissing down on my parade.

i want that sorted on way or the other ASAP so we can all move on.

Keep suarez and add a midfielder and i'll be ****ing buzzing

however....the thought of not signing anyone else and the suarez saga dragging on till august 31st, when we then lose him for £20m and don't have a replacement lined up.....scares the ****ing **** out me

Sturridge, Aspas and Borini will be enough if our objective is to finish 6th, forget about even hoping for 4th place if those are our strike options.

Aspas - Unknown quantity

Borini - Been here a year and I haven't seen a single thing from this guy that makes me think he's even close to being good enough

Even if Luis stays I think we need to bring in another attacking player, whether that is Bernard or someone similar.

He's been anything but unreliable or inconsistent for Liverpool.

I think there are valid concerns about Sturridge's fitness. Seems to pick up a lot of injuries.

Hopefully he can have the season clear of them.

Played through the middle he could hit 30 goals.

He's injury prone therefore unreliable, was out twice for us last season and IIRC he was injured numerous times for Chelsea.
And he is inconsistent in terms of form, as I said before when on form he's one of the best strikers in the PL if not Europe but people seem to be forgetting that there were a number of games last season when he was anonymous.
