No chance. Our priority must be the league. Borini can lead the line in the cups and both Allen and Henderson can come in for Gerrard and Lucas.

Our main priority may be to qualify for CL but our objective as a club is to win trophies. There is no way we are going to sacrifice the cups, especially considering the teams Rodgers picked last year.

Gerrard and Sturridge may need rested during the season, but assuming benching them for the cups will be beneficial to anyone is just a bit stupid IMO.

for me you'd want the cup side for the early rounds/lesser sides to be something like - obv injury/form permitting

i mentioned about 6 months ago, maybe longer, that a mate of mine was a ringer for sturridge.
the lad met him in town not long after he signed for us and got a pic with him. i got him to send it to me but couldnt find the pic so i have just copied the pic from him again, so i hope the wait was worth it.
