Thanjk you.

£12m could hardly of been better spent. Fantastic signing. Its just I don't go in for all the uberfan hero worship that many seem to lap up these days. He's a bloke, who's good at football and gets paid an insane amount to put the ball in the net. Sometimes like all players he's off the pace, not at the races, or just plain ****. Have I crossed the line by saying this? Haha, its so touchy round here since so few people contribute these days. Would be great to see the damage he could cause without having to carry the injuries. This is my main worry about the lad. Fingers crossed.
Alternatively for those people either unable to read or incapable of taking onboard a view different to theirs, I think he's a cocky arrogant cunt who contributes little to our game and is ****. There you go, put this in the pigeonhole.

Rodgers' biggest gripe was reserved for Sturridge, however, whom he dropped to the bench for 79 minutes as a result of playing 90 with a thigh injury for England against Germany. The Liverpool manager said; "I am looking at him in training on Friday and he is not right. Whose responsibility is that? It is the [Football] Association and the player.
"It is very simple for me. With any player, you have to put yourself on the training field. If you do that, you will be in with a chance of playing. Jon Flanagan was immense. He will be in a derby that is shown on Sky Golden in 30 years' time because of his desire and will to put himself out there every day.
"If you don't do that, there is a consequence – you don't play. If you want to be a champion, if you want to win things, you have to be ready. For this game I just felt Daniel wasn't ready."
Rodgers was asked how Sturridge responded to the news and whether he asked to play in such an important occasion? "No, I could see it in him. I have seen it before. There is a trend," he replied. "The games he has disappointed in have come when he hasn't trained. That was the call here."
Is the last paragraph saying Sturridge asked not to start/play?
Was ****ing pointless playing 90 minutes. Also, if he carries on scoring in the Prem but misses a few friendlies, I reckon he'd still be in the squad for Brazil. By all accounts he was **** against Germany anyway
Loving that from Rodgers. Bang on the money. If he really does reward people that train hard, then it must give hope to the players on the fringe. Too often in the past players knew they couldn't get a game no matter what they did in training as the first choices were exactly that, first choices. I like the idea of fair competition and earning an opportunity.

It's **** though that as fans we worship the guys that sometimes can't be arsed in training but will slate the ones who put in all the effort
I don't think Sturridges' training is lack of application I think it is due to him carrying a knock. I think Brendan is pissed off that Daniel went to play in a friendly whilst carrying a knock. Priorities and all that.
