Sturridge is currently Englands best player. Thoughts on that? I was thinking maybe Rooney. But he blows so hot and cold its hard to keep up.

Other than that there is Hart, but hes been a bit poor this year. Maybe Wilshire, but again, he has dipped.

I think he is, but the press and fans of other clubs would never go along with that. Sometimes I think the perception of Sturridge outside of Liverpool fans helps - he's not really the big name or headline grabber. They still trot out the "he has mental issues" line in commentary ffs - so lazy.

I love how he's waltzed back into the team after *another* injury lay off and immediately carried on scoring goals. Makes me ****ing piss when I hear people debating whether Sturridge or Welbeck should start for England. ****ing LOL.

Great finishes, but there is a touch of arrogance and greed about him that at times is to his detriment. The penalty was awful and his reaction afterwards was more about him getting the third then playing in team mates. The reaction when subbed said the same. However the words afterwards were good to hear.

I think he's great but one of those players that will need to be kept grounded from time to time.

If his niggling injuries subside and his attitude remains good, we have a player that could do great things here, I want him to win us trophies and titles not just get 4th.
