He's not though. He just thinks he might be.

    The guys a footballing hypochondriac.

He should just retire if he doesn't think he can do it anymore….but he won't because he's on stupid money.

He had a legitimate problem that has caused him injuries countless times in the past & he's had surgery to solve this. When returning from injury you are most likely to pick up knocks & added to his weak mentality it was always going to be a bumpy return.

With his major issue gone he should eventually get a run of games where his mentality can be boosted & his injury issues resolved. I think come the spring everyone will love him again.

I actually think the main issue is whether or not he fits the Klopp system.

I love him as a player and he seems like a top bloke ... I am just beyond frustrated now at his lack of fitness and my glass is exclusively half full .. how many times has got injured in training ? usually recovering from an injury

Let his contract run down and adios thanks for that season

I think you're all overthinking over this. It is for the club to deal with him and they are obviously more in the know than us about what's happening to Sturridge.

Firstly, he's getting a lot of money to not be contributing, but I should add that it's well know all contracts handed out by the club these days are heavily incentive based. If he's not fit to play games he will be earning nowhere near the top rate he could be earning. I think that gets forgotten at times. If he makes himself unavailable to play it effects him financially.

Secondly, he has a long way to go on that contract and certainly by the end of it we will know where we stand with him. In fact, I'm probably one of the most patient with him and even I would only give him until the end of the season. Post Xmas he really needs to be available pretty much every game to get fans back onside.

Of course you are right, but it's only the same about discussing line ups & transfer targets etc.

Keyword for me is discomfort, someone with a different mindset would look to play through the discomfort and get onto the pitch.

I think with the amount of serious injuries he's had of late he can't be blamed for being cautious even if it turns out to be nothing major. If he's the same long term and never gets over these issues then he will never be a major player at a big club.

We need a striker on the pitch, whether that is Sturridge or somebody else doesn't really matter. It might not be his fault he's always injured, but if he's unable to play, he no use to us and we should be looking to replace.

Beyond bored with him now, very good player (when fit) but he's missed nearly half the games he's been here which simply isn't good enough. Saw a stat that he's had more injuries than goals this calendar year

He can get to **** if he's not sorted by the end of the year IMO, he's close to throwing his career away.

I understand people being a bit fed up with Daniel, but honestly, why would a professional football player of his quality not want to be out there playing with his team mates, especially considering the new dawn that's underway at Anfield right now ?

I'm not having it that he's feigning injury or being a woos, there is obviously something wrong, and he's been extremely unlucky with the run of injuries he's had.

                            He's definitely a woos.

I like the guy and he's lethal when fit but this has gone too far now. He needs to be replaced i January if possible. That and a new goalkeeper..if there are any available before the summer.

There's no point being cautious with him., he ends up getting injured anyway. We need to stick him on the pitch and have him hobble off at half time, at least we'd get 45mins out of him. If we don't play him he'll give that 45mins on the training pitch instead.
