I don't think he's bothered about the pain, I think he's worried he's going to be out for months every time he feels a slight strain or pull. Going on past evidence, you can see why he gets so worried.

But if his long term issue has been resolved, he needs to start getting a grip, as Klopp pointed out.
    Forwards.......

I agree that he does seem mentally very weak. Clearly he's never going to be a regular player for us so we probably need a top class striker unless of course Klopp can build a good attacking side with the players he already has at his disposal (I was beginning to doubt Firmino). It's just so frustrating with Sturridge, he's such a fantastic footballer when he's actually playing!

My main point, is if Studge is over the long term issues, then eventually the penny will drop that he can push himself and he'll be worth £50m. If we sold him now we'd be lucky to get £15-20m.

He may be injury prone but it is impossible to ever feel completely fit or free from pain or discomfort. Look at rugby players. They play every week with battered and bruised bodies. This is a state of mind thing and Daniel is a wimp.

I hammer my body most days with **** all sleep, a real job, no one to massage me, diagnose my injuries/ imbalances & being out a lot at the weekend. Plus I'm 15 years older than him.

I'm not slagging him off, but I don't think it's unreasonably to be frustrated to tr sling if not considering him as the long term solution to our bluntness. Especially given the physical demands our Juergen puts on his players. Superfans hey....zzzz..

Yeah, stacking shelves or sitting in an office or whatever is exactly the same as being an athlete for one of the biggest sports teams on the planet.

At least anyone on here knows where to come now if they have an problems that require a doctor or a shrink, theres 10s on here!

It is exactly the same that's the point. I'm nearly 50 and train to my potential. I never go out the door without feeling some sort of problem but I do it and don't make excuses. It's either in you to do it or it isn't. With Daniel it isn't. He's a prima donna who doesn't realise how lucky he is and Klopp now has his number.

I give him the benefit of the doubt, training and being team mates with Luis and Stevie must have had some influence in his mentality. I think he is just seriously unlucky and every episode becomes magnified in his mind because it is another setback, no matter how trivial it seems to others.

I understand the frustration, we all are. So, being a professional footballer with all the stresses and challenges of playing at the top level and being under the spotlight all the time not a real job?

Is Sturridge making excuses or are people jumping on a bandwagon? Good on you if you never complain, you must be a perfectly normal person. Others aren't.

Issues like this are very normal in football. Theres not a day go by in a season that players wouldn't be feeling a bit of pain somewhere. He's saying that to Sturridge i think. Hence the serious pain, or just pain line. Its all in his head and it looks like Klopps trying to get through to him.

That its forgotten that the squad we do have is starting to look half decent and we have just qualified from our Europa Group with a game to spare.

But nah, lets log on and slag off Sturridge for being injured.
He's not injured though is he. Klopps just said this in his ****ing press conference. "Its not serious", "You need to learn what is serious pain and what is just pain"

He's clearly just a bit sore from training and wussed out of the game.

So if it's a psychological issue it's even more uncalled for the **** he gets. Everything should be taken into context. There is no way he is doing this on purpose. Makes totally no sense.
