Carra (not really adding anything of note, just an observation of the problem it presents)

When Daniel Sturridge is fit and firing, Sergio Aguero is the only striker who is better than him in the Barclays Premier League.
That’s how highly I rate Daniel.
He destroyed Aston Villa in September and I hoped then that would be the start of a long run leading Liverpool’s attack but, since that game on September 26, he has only made one appearance.
So it was interesting to see Jurgen Klopp say that Daniel needs to understand what real pain is.
The one thing I remember most of all from being his team-mate is that he had to feel 100 per cent right mentally and physically in order to play.

The thing is, with professional football, it’s not often any player will take to the field 100 per cent fit. There is always a knock or something niggling and when that is the case, you just grit your teeth and get through it. But Sturridge’s continued unavailability is presenting Liverpool with a problem now. If they put him up for sale, every top club bar Manchester City would take him over their strikers, but how long can Liverpool wait for him to be ready? Do the club start to think they need to move him on, to get a good fee and save on his big wages?

At the end of the day if we all had the same attitude to the club that a few people on this thread have, we wouldnt have klopp here now would we. Rodgers would still be sat here, or possibly even Hodgeson... Its a business, its cut throat, hence its very well rewarded. When things clearly arent going right, changes need to hsppen, whether popular or not. Sturridge has issues and unless he can sort himself out, he needs to move on.

It is possible to wanting to move on without casting aspersions on his character. I just don't think it's necessary

See I think people are putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5. Many people have said he is a top bloke and great player, I personally think he is one of the most likeable players in recent memory, a truly nice bloke, seems like a leader to me, and hes a good christian boy which usually means he does not **** about off the pitch .. but he may be mentally weak .. he can still have great character and be mentally weak in aspects of his life ... I just finished watching Football Focus and both Des Walker and Graeme LeSaux said all footballers carry injuries at all times .. Carra .. who is a bonafide legend is a genuine student of the game and has actually played with him said he needs to be 100% fit to play.... so on one hand you have full England internationals saying you rarely if ever are 100% fit and Jamie Carragaher then stating Daniel always needed to be 100% fit not only physically ..but tellingly mentally as well .... You do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to put together the pieces..

Do all these people hate Daniel Sturridge ? no .. do they all rate him ? Yes .. do I rate him ..Yes .. can I question his heart or desire to play through the pain barrier ... Yep, they have, I have, Klopp has, Jamies Perce Has, David Fairclough has ... none of us are Morons .. people who suggest we are on the other hand

(very clever if you ask me, he will make studge sit up and take notice and also doesn't publicly slam him)

If you get your head out of Sturridge's ass hole for a minute you may realise that yes he is a ****ing wimp and needs to man up. AND if he isnt a wimp and is genuinely getting injured all the time then needs to pack his bags and **** off, we cant afford to pay them wages for a handful of games per year.

In this thread he's been called a bottler, a pussy a fanny and gay. It's also been said he's happy as long as he's getting paid and doesn't give a f about anything else.

I just think with some posters there's a habit of knee jerking. A player is either FOTM or a dick and nothing exists in between.

Thing is though, it didn't read like some posters were just 'questioning' his desire though - it came across much stronger than that.

Ok well anybody calling him gay should just been banned instantly ... a pussy thats a little harder to quantify .. what if he is a pussy ?... tell you what .. you ever do something physically hard with a bunch of men .. and pussies start spouting up left right and center ... some men do not have that fire in their belly.. the quit comes to the surface fast .. others never even entertain the thought .. what separates them .. Mental .. its 100% mental .. bit of a tangent here but I think its appropriate .. look at Special Forces selection ..ultimately what separates men in that process is mental fortitude .. thats what people are suggesting ... he needs to man up .. bite down on his guard and push through, push on and make a mental breakthrough .... Look at Suarez .. he was the complete opposite .. both total artists of football players .. both capable of amazing things .. but Suarez is ****ing tough ... if you rumbled with that ****er hes likely to come up with a piece of your ear he was kicked up and down the park and when he decided he was no longer going down .. he just ran it off time and time and time again ... Dan needs to toughing up ... His latest injury seems like he could have played ... nothing was broken .. nothing strained .. but he felt pain ... but lots and lots of players say you play through it and your body becomes a lot stronger for it ...both physically and mentally ..

If we can get good money I would sell. Very talented but I prefer us not to have players who get injured that often.
