His X-ray result was fine. As seen below.

I do wonder how easy it can be to believe the medical reassurances when (not just with him) it seems standard practice to rush players back when they are not fully fit, willing to risk their injury for the good of the team. To me the Mourinho/Carneiro incident early this season was symptomatic of other issues in football where medical practice is asked to bend to the needs/desires of competitive sport (attitudes to concussion being the most obvious example).

The deal was Danny Sturridge had real medical issues. He was seen by professionals paid for by the club and they declared him ready to play. He was then rushed back, despite not feeling right, and broke down again.

This time the club sent him to America and they discovered that Dan was right, he wasn't in a condition to play as a further issue was detected. A condition so serious he required surgery.

The talk is that Dans major issues have been resolved, but I think it's pretty harsh to call him out at present as the club had previously told him he's fine when clearly he wasn't.

Danny Sturridge was a bit of a hypochondriac before all this kicked off by all accounts, so you can only imagine what all this has done to his head. He clearly hasn't trusted our medical team and you know what, he was proved right as they failed to identify what the lads in Boston did.

Dans a good player, but he has the pace which takes him to another level. Players with that electric pace tend to be out injured regularly be that Michael Owen, Theo Walcott, Sergio Augero or Daniel Sturridge. I think he's mindful of that and is just overly worried all the time.

Despite all that, whether he is justified or not in his feelings, bottom line is we need a top striker who can play regularly. My personal opinion is he gets until the summer to show he can come through what has been a very difficult period for all concerned.

If in 2016 he plays on a regular basis and performs well then all this can & will be forgotten. If he doesn't, well it's up to Klopp to decide whether or not our other options are suitable enough or whether we need a new top level striker.
            Forwards.......

I think this sums up what most people think and how most people feel. Lets hope we all see him this side of Christmas .. his quality has never been in question

Im just pointing out that you're a hypocrite, calling people names, then being high and all mighty pulling people up on it. Have a look at yourself FFS.

Also this referring to misogyny crap, get a grip. You're reaching a bit there. I know feminism is in right now and the sheep are all jumping on board, but calling someone a pussy/wimp whatever has absolutely nothing to do with someones hatred or dislike of women (which if you were are smart as you try and act would know thats what the term you are referring to means).

What you're doing is actually hurting the real cause and women's struggles by diluting its meaning. Boy who cried wolf and all that.

Its also no more offensive than calling someone a moron. Is mental disability not as important as feminism?

Or even a dick for that matter. Are vaginas more important than penises? Is it more offensive?
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Daniel Sturridge has spent more than half of his Liverpool career absent through either illness or injury.
Since signing on 2 January 2013, Sturridge has spent 564 out of 1060 days on the treatment table

Some of those missed games would've been him being rested as opposed to not being available to play. But it's a poor record whichever way you look at it.

Man city have the same situation with aguero and they haven't given up on him because he is such a great player and basically irreplaceable for them.
City havent had any such problems... in all but one season he has made over 30 league appearances and that one season he still made 23!

Sturridge is just a bit of a joke and has made: 14, 29, 12, 3... league appearances.

The 14 is a bit misleading as that is the number of apperences he made for us in half a season as it was January when he signed. So it's only last season and this season that we can really consider he has missed a significant number of games (And if he could stay fit for the rest of the season 28 games wouldn't be a bad record).

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

on the bench, so its nailed on that klopp will bring him on, even just near the end, to help him conquer his demons
