“I’ve been unfortunate this season to pick up injuries. Maybe it’s my body type and hereditary,” he said in an interview on Talksport.

“My uncle Dean had a lot of muscle problems when he played, uncle Simon the same, and my dad. Maybe it’s the Caribbean vibes. [I have] fast-twitch muscles, I am more vulnerable to muscle injuries. As to whether I will be one of the best player in Europe or the world, for me, as long as I continue to work hard everything will take care of itself.

          autocorrect.

But now i know it pisses you off so much i'll endeavour not to change it if i notice.

Its quite the apt correction though seeing as he's always on the shelf. Maybe there is a god.

Listen, some people would prefer to cut their losses with him and I'm not one of them. If we can have him playing once a week for a number of months while building his strength up, then we should try. He is crucial to our play at this point in time.

And hopefully he gets a proper pre season.
no it doesn't. It implies that he's weak and fragile and needs to be handled so.

He's not crucial to our play at all. He hasn't played enough to be.

We were linked with Guiseppe Rossi again the other day.

I'm just throwing this out there, but has klopp been a little naieve with Sturridge? His comments regarding not knowing about his previous injuries and pushing him concern me a little. I also think over the years players that struggle with muscle injuries normally have a habit of getting injured when bought on as subs. They tend not to be warmed as as much as when starting. I'm not trying to be a doctor, or suggest I know more than klopp and his team. But let's face it, reus and co tended to spend a fair amount of time injured. I love klopp but he isn't perfect all of the time.

Anyway, its Sturridge so ultimately he gets injured just walking about so he's probably not the best case study. Although risking coutinho by coming on as a sub on a slippery icey pitch in a dead rubber was also a little strange!

Yeah, that was weird, that's a crock of almost Sturridgesque proportions.

Regarding Sturridge and the national team, I honestly feel he should retire from England. He can't handle the Premier League, I think it's obvious he can't handle both club and international football.

He can handle it. He just need help to handle it better. FFS, he's 26.

With the body of 76 year old, Liverpool are paying his wages and he'll never be regular for either club or country so I don't think it's far fetched for him to retire from England.

That will be his decision ultimately. If he had the body of a 76 year old he wouldn't even be training with us.

You do realize that I may not have meant that he literally had a body of a 76 years old?
