I think some people need to stop worrying about money that isn't theirs.

If Liverpool are happy to keep paying him whatever it is they are paying him (he might be on less while injured, it might already be performance related), if they are committed to putting time and effort into what is their asset - be it to get him back playing or into a sellable state (which goes hand in hand), then the club will do that and until then he's a Liverpool player. So stop worrying about it.

Its never a bad thing to have a brilliant player at the club, so y'know, stop moaning about it.

We need to buy a striker who'll be our number one striker, sturridge will have to play second fiddle to him otherwise leave. Can't see it any other way.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Sturridge will have to be the high days and holidays striker, effectively choice no 3/4 in the scheme of things with Origi and Ings fighting it out to be the No 2 behind whoever replaces Benteke. I'm near certain he'll be gonski in the summer.

it wouldnt worry me if we were paying him 250k a week just so long as he actually available and willing put a shift in.

Though I'm guessing you didn't say this when people labelled Balotelli a waste of money.

Is there a table showing the values and / or performance matrix of when we are allowed to comment on it?

Where did you read about him not sticking to the programme set out for him Harv? Not heard that before.

Was about to ask the same.

I think Harv's referring to Klopp's request to see Sturridge train for nine consecutive days (Sturridge has failed to see this through). However, I'm guessing Sturridge is unable to do this, not unwilling.

EDIT: Nope, it's on the back of internet chatter.

Without saying too much its a person on another forum with a source who has a great track record. Doesnt get much wrong at all. Basically they're watching him like a hawk now making sure he does his full recovery sessions etc, because he didn't before and cut a lot of corners. Hence the continual breakdowns.

If that is the case then its as much our fault has his, bad man management. Don't get me wrong I am not saying its a quality which would make me all warm and fuzzy about him as a pro, but equally you have to manage your people ... especially your top performers who by very nature can be a little erratic

If the above is true .. in a way I am kind of glad to hear this and not the fact that he is just plain and simple made of glass

Me too. If its work ethic, then he can either be made to work on it. Or sold and replaced.

I think a lot of players will do what they need to do to play, rather than address the issues properly. It sounds like it could be a case of that.

I just can't believe he's that way out. He fought for a place at Chelsea, fought for a place at City, was desperate to be considered a first team, first choice striker, got his opportunity at Liverpool and revelled in it. Maybe I'm easily fooled, but he doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be injured.

Nor me. And the rumours always fly around the world's biggest village when a player is injured...remember all the bull**** conspiracy theories from ITKs about Agger?
