Not a chance any of us would sell him if he can stay fit.

I think it's a bit of that. I also think there was a bit of frustration in there because his body wasn't responding quite as quickly as it normally does.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View Post...because he scored. I'm amazed some people aren't making the correlation between happy Daniel Sturridge (a goal) and pissed off Daniel Sturridge (no goal)
He's now back. Let's see if he stays back without falling o pieces, would be a fantastic end to the season if so.

He was absolutely gutted his back heel didn't go in. Had his head in his hands as Firmino set off in celebration. He joined in shortly after though. Shows how competitive he is which is a good thing really.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View Post...because he scored. Not sure the last games have taught us anything new.
Sturridge, when fit is a brilliant, arguably world class finisher.
Still don't think he can play up front on his own, which means that if he's happy only featuring when we play a 2 up front then happy days.
Problem with that tends to be that we'll go into most big or important games with just the 1 up front. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I think he can but you need players behind all willing to close high up and capable of holding the ball there - I think Milner will play a big part in trying to getting any such plan to work for us.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostNot sure the last games have taught us anything new.

That said a lot of teams have had success this season (even against the 'bigger' teams) with two up front."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

He said on his LFC TV interview that his fitness is still well short and the best way to get that match fitness up is to push your body in the last 30 minutes of games when you're tired, which explains his frustration at being taken off.
Sounds like an excuse when I paraphrase it, but he didn't mention it in relation to his reactions, he was just talking about his fitness/form in general.
If PSG came in with a decent bid I dare say I'd still be tempted because of his injuries, but while he's still here we need to find a way to get him on the pitch as often as possible because he is pure class. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

we are so much better at attacking than defending it seems like madness not to go two up top and go for the win.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostNot sure the last games have taught us anything new.

we need to make teams worry about our attack. they dont worry about our defence.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
