What are peoples thoughts on Sturridge? Will he ever get back to where he was if he gets games or have injuries caught up with him?
I really liked him but he isn't doing it at the moment, he looks a million miles away from the player who was tearing it up a while back, and I am doubting whether we have the system to get the best out of him if he is able to get back to his best. To me it seems unlikely that he will still be here at the start of next season.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

That “sprint” he made in the second half to get on to a through ball down the left was either a sad reflection of what the injuries have done to him, a reluctance to go full pelt, or he just can’t be bothered. Whatever it is, he’s not good enough anymore!Comment

WE wouldn't be having this debate if Origi had kicked on.
I'm sure Sturridge is wonderful in training, but a full elevens game he doesn't have the pace or stamina. He'll either be sold (if we're lucky) in the summer or he'll be nowhere near the first team after the summer.Last edited by labourRed; 26-01-17, 11:35 AM.Comment

For a player of his ability he missed two really good chances last night.
He's lost his pace and doesn't easily fit into our system so there's not much/any point keeping him - remember he's paid more than anyone bar Klopp and Coutinho at the club.
