I think that he went on loan because he wants to go to the WC in the summer and probably thought staying in England we keep him in Southgate's mind (PL being the best league in the world and English players only playing there and all thatOriginally posted by Zapater View PostFeel sorry for him. Think he really should have gone abroad. Sometimes a change of scenery helps players with these things. If Inter and Sevilla were really interested, he's mad to goto West Brom (who play a style that doesn't really suit him, especially with his injuries) and then pick up a knock on top of it. Wonder how long he'll be out for. His LFC career is definitely over, as I said before I still think he can be a quality player under a different manager in a different team, but the way he's picking up injuries makes me doubt it. Such a shame because he was excellent for us.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know in most cases it's not the case like Hargreaves, Aquilani, Vermaelen, Aurelio etc.Originally posted by Norbs View PostWhat's these things? If you're injured it doesn't matter where you are, unless it's in his head of course
But every now and then you get a player like van Persie who suddenly responds to the methods at a new club or has good luck after changing clubs. He's played several seasons without serious injury since leaving Arsenal. Don't think it's in his head, or there is an exact science to it. The style of the teams play certainly would make a difference. An injury prone striker wouldn't want to be looking to sprint in behind looking for the counter for example.
