More desperation from the media trying to sell a few papers to aid their ailing industry. Suarez is box office journalistic mana for them. It's hardly big news anymore that Suarez has an 'opportunistic' streak.

The Mansfield manager was clear in the fact he didn't have an issue with it and every striker worth his salt would do the same. It's up to the ref to call it handball.

The more the haters hate, the stronger Suarez becomes

      Gif slowed down

Looks like it had already hit his hand before it moved.

1 second between frames. Looking at the match timer on the graphic 1 second elapses between the ball hitting the goalkeeper and it leaving Suarez's had. I'm fairly sure a reaction time of less than .2 of a second in Athletics is considered too quick to be legal - ie, pre-empting the gun.

But with everything Suarez does none of it can just happen, he is a mastermind who plans everything with perfect precision.

If Bond villians were half as efficient as Suarez the franchise would have been finished decades ago.

I thought it possible and tried to work it out by looking at previous comments. Not convinced of it yet.

The bbc blokey on 5 live just said 'well its not ideal but is it any different from a striker scoring when he knew he was offside but wasn't flagged'

Good analogy. I'll be using that!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

@LiverpoolWays: Strachan on Suarez: "If you park on a double yellow line and get away with it, you don't phone up the council and say you owe 85quid." haha

Looking at the articles posted here a number of them are saying that the referee saw it and judged it accidental, if this is they case why is Suarez getting all the ****? If the referee saw the incident and allowed the goal to stand then calling Suarez a cheat is ridiculous as what he has done has been deemed acceptable by the officials, in all the outrage and hysteria I am yet to hear anyone critisise the referee for the call.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

You could argue that he could have curtailed his usual wrist kiss celebration following the goal - knowing that he had handballed. But in the heat of the moment......we're not all Einstein.

As long as that striker isn't a dirty, cheating, racist, scumbag Uruguayan.

Similar to Luis Garcia's goal against Chelsea. They may have a point but we don't care.
                            Are we winning?

Not really, because that was definitely 100% over the line - FACT.

Even against gash teams our finishing is atrocious at times, we could've had a couple of hat-tricks in there and on another day (ie, last season) they would've equalised and really made us look like morons.

Shelvey played well, linked up well with Sturridge who certainly looks to be adding a more direct approach. Even though I'm a bit underwhelmed with the signing I can't wait to see him fully fit playing with Suarez and Sterling. If they click - that's a VERY versatile, mobile and pacy front line.

And as for the Suarez incident the moral indignation surrounding EVERYTHING he says and does is far beyond a joke now. If that had been ANY other forward (hell, any other player) in the country it would be taken for what it was, ie, an accidental coming together of ball and hand. He didn't need to touch it, he could happily have chested it on and smashed it in. Not like it was flying past him or anything.

If that was Percy, Aguero, Defoe, Podolski - would the same "fans" of other clubs still be demanding for a player to tell a referee what to do?

                                People are cunts.
