Not everyone but alot of us obviously thought he had made a good start to his career with us

I was undecided because I hadn't seen that much of him prior to his transfer, then I was impressed in the way he battled and didn't get knocked off the ball like Spearing, despite being of similar stature. But he has regressed badly and now that optimism seems totally misplaced. He's under more scrutiny than the other starting midfielders - Lucas and Gerrard - because there is a lot less past evidence that he can be a major asset to the team.

They are a far better side than us (21 points better at just over the halfway point, and that gap will incrffease. We were better when chasing the game, that often happens when a side are a couple of goals up and ease off and concentrate more on defensive duties.

Nevermind Downing, Gerrard was absolutely terrible today. Gave the ball away constantly, 3 times giving them a good attacking option, his long balls were hit and miss (mostly miss), no pace, a complete lack of passion. Truely awful.

Lucas was much better than Allen was. I couldn't believe it when He stayed on and Lucas went off.

He's a passenger initially in games like these. He doesn't track runners as he doesn't have the legs. But once the game opened up and the opposition were too tired to break from midfield, Gerrard started to dictate.

It was Rodgers fault we lost that as he sent them out half asleep in the first half was Too respectful and Picked the wrong side. Kept Allen on too long and kept Gerrard anchored on half way line when his shot was the reason we scored.

Oh come on, they were two goals up, of course they eased off. We were chasing and naturally more energetic and up for it in the 2nd, hence the second half performance. Just look at the table.

Its absurb for people to say they're not much better than us or even worse they're not a better side than us.

On the plus side, if we can keep Borini, Suarez and Sturridge fit, and play them together, we'll improve significantly and should be good to make a fight for 4th next season.
