Hhmm, you think we've had offers in for Skrtel on the quiet, hence he could now be the one that's off? As soon as Rodgers was appointed he was banging on about how important it was to retain the services of our better players, and he mentioned Srktel specifically (amongst others).
I've no idea mate, all I'm saying is Agger was the one attracting interest in the summer so obviously all the talk of departures were regarding him. It's been alluded to many times that despite what Rodgers said, if a high enough bid had been made then it would be accepted, it wasn't so we kept him.
With regards to Skrtel, a convo between ITKs on twitter I noticed earlier shows them all being pretty much in agreement that at the very least attempts to sell him will be made this summer and we are already on the lookout for his replacement.
Reasons mentioned :- lack of aggression, poor concentration, looks for pay rises every summer.

I was being rhetorical when asking the q, soz
When Skrtel was dropped vs. Norwich, I don't recall seeing or hearing any quotes from Rodgers which explained it away with the old "he needs a rest line"; what I saw was more geared towards the 'leadership' qualities of his replacement, so I could easily interpret events as Rodgers possibly changing his opinions on Skrtel. And he did slip in a "Agger has been brilliant this season", so it will be more than interesting to see how this unfolds during the rest of the season.

I thought the biggest rumour was Skrtel to City, before he signed a contract.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Carra is a leader but so was Hyppia. A player who can organise, who can lead, doesn't have to be a less technically gifted player. We don't have that right now. Skrtel and Agger aren't those type of players.
We need a player who knows when (and how) to commit a cheeky foul. Someone who will throw there body on the line when required. I seem to recall Henchoz doing this a lot.
