Whilst I don't really want to expect too much from Borini on his return from injury, that chance at the start of the second half was massive.

Still, it doesn't negate the fact we were awful in other areas of the pitch.

I think people are being a bit harsh on Robinson, he's very inexperienced and needs a load move to give him some experience, also he was offered little protection from the players infront of him.

He's not up to the required level at the moment but he's 19 he needs a season on loan somewhere IMO, the people saying he's ****e are going over the top.

physical presence is way overrated. it's experience that's needed. players should keep a calm head and the ball and let them chase shadows for 20 mins until the atmosphere calms down. and it's down to experience to deal with target men and crosses not so much physical presence.
we got sucked up by the athmosphere, allowed them to bully us and never got our game going. that, combined with individual errors and wasted chances.

Allen wasn't our worst player. Think Rodgers probably got the tactics wrong today and left the midfield too isolated. Then our passing was poor. The average age of the team which started was 22 so it's hardly an 'embarassing defeat'.
            Are we winning?

Shocking and disgraceful refereeing decisions, our players are too quite to protest?

The average age of the outfield players who started the match was 22, the idea of youth is fine but you need experienced heads in there too and we didn't have any today.

Think you have a point about the refereeing. Stevie was arguing with him for long periods. We never got any protection whatsoever today and that cunt Smith was revelling in it.

I think what the midfield needed was that 'physical' player the team is missing.

If we had a De Jong, Fellaini etc, the midfield would have coped a lot better today.

Our next move in the transfer window should be for a player like that. It's a shame Sissoko just went to the Geordies.

When you look at Luke Shaw for example who is only 17 you can see the difference in football brain. I agree its too early to write him off but telling our star player to **** off basically isn't good, wouldn't want an attitude like that round any other younger players.

                          he looks very lightweight imo.

His defending is very poor and his decision making looks very off.

He needs to be playing first team football. Wisdom is another one who struggles with his decision making and passing. Both were really bad today but you do get that with young players.

Robinsons big problem is that unlike wisdom who has produces some decent performances when given the chance Robinson just looks out of his depth every time I've seen him play recently.

Its embarrassing in that we are one of the biggest names in world football and we were just knocked out by a team where there is supposed to be a gulf in class between them. LFC were outfought and soundly beaten today, that is pretty embarrassing.

                            Premier league arrogance.

It is not the end of the world, bit disappointing, but not season defining.
